  • Accounting Manager

    The Accounting Manager will perform the key accounting functions including month-end close process, balance sheet account reconciliations, annual financial audit and ad-hoc accounting projects.

  • Analyst, Customer Care

    The Analyst, Customer Care will be a key part of the wider team to drive improvements to the operational process for handling customer data and issues with impacts across CPA’s business. The Analyst, Customer Care is responsible for supporting the multiple business units through various functions, including data analysis, report creation, partner dashboard updates, KPI reporting, and collection of data to assist internal partners with external communication.

  • Clerk of the Board

    The Clerk of the Board is responsible for fulfilling all clerk-related duties for CPA’s current 32-member Board of Directors, including the management of CPA’s monthly Board, Executive Committee, and Policy Committee meetings. This includes preparation of agendas and minutes, document management, logistics coordination, and in-meeting functions, including administering roll call, tabulating votes, managing speaker queue, and other clerk-related duties.

  • Community Solar Program Manager

    The Community Solar Program Manager will be responsible for implementing CPA’s two Community Solar programs - one that will provide low-income customers living in disadvantaged communities 100% renewable energy and a 20 percent bill discount and the other that will provide the same bill discount to customers living within five miles of new renewable energy projects that CPA and community partners will sponsor and develop.

  • Director, Human Resources

    The Director, Human Resources will lead CPA’s HR strategy to develop and maintain a high-functioning dynamic staff at an innovative organization operating in a highly competitive labor market within the framework of laws governing public entities. A key aspect of this role is to lead organizational efforts to create an equitable, inclusive workplace where all CPA team members feel valued, respected, and engaged at work and in doing so drive high levels of staff retention.

  • Director, Technology, Data, and Systems

    The Director, Technology, Data, and Systems will be responsible for providing quality leadership and oversight of data integrity, data analytics, and electronic data systems used in support of CPA’s operations. This position will have the overall responsibility to develop, implement, and sustain data integrity, ensuring compliance with internal requirements and external regulations, as well as responsibility for the reliability, performance, security, and continuity of IT systems and supported business processes.

  • External Affairs Manager - LA County

    The External Affairs Manager will serve as liaison between CPA’s internal team and the local governments and community stakeholders in CPA’s LA County service territory and will be responsible for ensuring these regional leaders are informed about CPA’s operations and programs. This role involves direct communication with local elected officials, city and county staff, community-based organizations, chambers of commerce, business associations, and customers.

  • Financial Strategy & Initiatives Manager

    The Financial Strategy & Initiatives Manager will organize and execute major financial initiatives, including obtaining an investment grade credit rating from a nationally recognized rating agency, renewing banking agreements, and project managing the issuance of municipal prepay bonds through an arms-length conduit issuer. This position will also provide financial expertise to support organizational initiatives such as service territory expansion and developing business requirements for the targeted marketing of demand-side customer programs.

  • Load Forecasting and Analytics Manager

    The Load Forecasting and Analytics Manager performs the full range of professional load and revenue forecasting duties utilizing analytical and statistical techniques. The position is responsible for coordinating the internal and external information necessary to complete load forecasts and performs monitoring and analysis of forecast-to-actual results. Strong candidates will have significant load forecasting experience and proven statistical and data analysis abilities, be a proactive, big-picture thinker who also has a strong detail-orientation and have demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively with others. This is a challenging opportunity to play a key role in restructuring Southern California’s energy market to rapidly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and provide local choice in energy supply and services.

  • Program Manager, Grid Management and Resiliency

    The Program Manager, Grid Management and Resiliency will develop and implement customer-facing programs related to load shifting, electrification, and clean generation. Programs include Power Ready, providing Clean Back Up Power for Essential Facilities, which will target installing back-up battery storage energy at essential facilities, such as fire stations and community centers, in each of Clean Power Alliance’s member agencies; Power Response, CPA’s Demand Response program for residential and commercial customers; and Peak Management Pricing, launching this summer, provides bill credits for commercial and public agency customers to reduce their energy during peak times.

  • Senior Manager, Power Origination

    The Senior Manager, Power Origination will manage CPA’s short and mid-term energy positions and lead procurement activities as part of CPA’s Power Supply team. This position will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, conducting energy and Resource Adequacy procurement solicitations, originating and negotiating short and mid-term structured transactions and power purchase agreements, and ensuring compliance with CPA’s Energy Risk Management Policy (ERMP).

  • Senior Manager, Structured Contracts

    The Senior Manager, Structured Contracts will manage CPA’s long-term procurement activities (contracts with terms over 10 years), including overseeing CPA’s portfolio of long-term power supply resources, which includes over 2,000 MW of renewable and storage contracts. This position will be responsible for the procurement of energy resources and will support all aspects of the deal-making process, including the solicitation process, due diligence, negotiations, and contract management.

    CPA is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to provide digital marketing, website, and social media support services as well as design services to support its day-to-day operations in support of the CPA brand as well as specific agency programs and initiatives.   • Request for Proposals (RFP) for Demand Response Program Implementer

  • Expansion Feasibility Studies Task Order

    CPA seeks proposals for a provider to conduct a preliminary CCA feasibility study that examines the potential costs and revenues should selected cities join CPA. The results of the study will inform the selection of a subset of those cities to be the subject of full feasibility assessments in Summer 2021, and a second round of pre-feasibility and feasibility studies to be conducted in 2022. CPA was accepting written questions until April 13 at 4:00 p.m. PST. CPA’s responses to the written questions can be found here. An addendum to the Task Order was issued on Friday, April 16, 2021. Task Order proposals are due by Tuesday, April 20 at 5:00 p.m. PST.

  • 2020 DAC-GT and CS-GT Request for Offers (RFO)

    CPA is seeking proposals for new, in-front-of-the-meter renewable energy resources for its Disadvantaged Communities Green Tariff (DAC-GT) and its Community Solar Green Tariff (CS-GT) programs. Resources must be located in eligible disadvantaged communities. Stakeholders who are not prepared to submit to the 2020 DAC-GT and CS-GT RFO, but who are interested in future RFO cycles, are encouraged to respond to a Request for Information (RFI).
